Chris’s most interesting day at clinicals was the day he experienced a patient vomiting on him and an unnamed neglegent CNA. The day went like this. A resident, named Gina, had just been fed and was aspirating and puking, so they brought her into her room. Chris noticed the CNA had put Gina flat on her back on the bed.
Chris later went to take vitals and she started aspirating and vomiting again all over Chris and CJ, who was helping chris. Chris decided to notify the charge nurse that it was unsafe for a vomiting and aspirating patient to be flat on her back. The charge nurse told Chris to leave her like that and that she would be fine. Chris says that this is the most interesting day at clinicals for him because he has never been so angry and appalled that someone could be so careless.
